Two ideas:
#1. throw in some pvp events ( 1 vs 1 tournament or small TvT or the classical 5 vs 5, but one man from each team fights at a time).
#2. make a pvp chart on the forum or main page. I wanna see myself there in front
... it will feed my ego ^_^
